Doug's Transition to Business Ownership
Doug Curtis began his career working for a local electrical contractor, where he gained valuable experience in commercial and residential electrical work. After several years, Doug decided to venture out on his own and start Curtis Electric. His transition from being an employee to a business owner was driven by his desire to focus on commercial and industrial electrical work and provide high-quality services to his clients.
From Humble Beginnings
Doug's journey into business ownership was supported by his father, who helped him with his first truck. Doug started with an old Ford truck that belonged to his grandfather. This truck played a significant role in the early days of Curtis Electric. Doug's father, a carpenter, provided the truck to Doug, which he used to transport tools and equipment for his electrical work. This strong family support has been a cornerstone of the company's success and growth over the years.
Nick Curtis's Transition
After Doug Curtis's passing in 2024, his son, Nick Curtis took over the operations of Curtis Electric. Nick has been involved in the business for many years and has a deep understanding of the company's values and mission.
